I used to think that different parts of myself were irreconcilable. Now I fully accept them all as parts of me. They inform each other and make me whole.

I studied psychology for 12 years and working with people for over two decades, I have been able to witness and taste the inner landscapes that inform the richness of some of my creations. The quest of meaning and purpose means most of us want to make this world a better place.

Working in and with nature and using ancient wisdom practices allows me to connect to the Mystery that is all around us. That mystery is also alive in many of my paintings.

The passion of flamenco runs trough me into many of the canvases.

And a sense of togetherness feeds me everyday

Below are glimpses of my experience in this wonderful amazing and complex world of ours.

With love, Inma

  • MEANING AND PURPOSE

We all yearn to find meaning and purpose. And for many of us that is making this beautiful world of ours a better place. This is how I finished my TEDx talk (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R6EPUQDoRaE) and this is the invitation I give to myself and the people I work with.

One of the examples can be found in the project below where inmates of Kenyan prisons became mindful leaders.

Inmates become mindful leaders and make the world a better place from within bars

Inmates become becoming the best version of themselves

Inmates and guards united

Inner Liberation was inspired by the inner liberation of inspiring people around the world, including some mindful leaders.

  • ANCIENT WISDOM

From Buddhism, to Taoism and Shamanism, ancient wisdom and Earth Based Spirituality supports my growth as a human and my creative expression.

Honouring the cycles of Life, I take part and facilitate ceremonies like rite of passages, solar and lunar cycles, weddings and letting go. There is something profound when we connect with the cycle of our being, our relations and the world around us.

Earth Based ceremonies

Ancient Mystery is one of the pieces that captures some of that magic

  • PASSION

I feel passion is making us ALIVE. And one of the ways in which I feed that passion is with dance, especially FLAMENCO. I have the “duende” in my veins and many of my paintings are created while listening to flamenco music. Then “el duende’ has the chance to play with my fingertips and leaves a journey to be felt in the canvas.

  • TOGETHERNESS

My PhD showed the importance of togetherness for creativity. And I found an amazing community in the ART2Life Academy which supports my intuition, generosity, connection to mystery and a beautiful sense of “us”. Even if we are from all around the globe, knowing that I belong is taking my art to the next level. Thank you Nicolas and the whole community!!!
